Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure (BVAL) are a charitable trust that manage several sport and leisure facilities, organise indoor and outdoor community activities and get involved with many music and arts projects throughout Northumberland.

BVAL’s facilities and activities include:-

Blyth Sports Centre
A 33m swimming pool, recently refurbished Lifestyle gym, fitness classes, sportshall,  squash courts, children's activities, and more!

Concordia Leisure Centre
The recently refurbished 25m free-form leisure pool with interactive water features is a big hit with families! Also, check out the Lifestyle gym, fitness classes, sportshall, squash courts, children's activities and more!

Ashington Leisure Centre
A 25m swimming pool, Lifestyle gym, fitness classes, sportshall, squash courts, bowls hall, and more!

Newbiggin Sports and Community Centre
Sports hall, squash courts, Lifestyle gym, fitness classes and more!

Sporting Club Cramlington
A sports facility set in the grounds of Cramlington High School. Sports Halls, Lifestyle Gym, Fitness classes, outdoor pitches and courts, and the home of many sports clubs.

Sporting Club Blyth
Positioned near Blyth’s Community College, this facility has a Lifestyle gym and a good range of fitness and dance classes.

Northburn Sports and Community Centre
Situated in Cramlington, this centre has outdoor pitches, a sports hall and meeting room, as well as numerous community clubs and activities.

The Pegasus Horse Riding Centre
Based near Morpeth, the Pegasus Centre welcomes everyone but is predominantly for the use of disabled riders.

Blyth Beach Huts
20 stunning beach huts on the promenade at Blyth Beach. Some are available to rent for the day. As well as the long, white sandy beach, the beach huts are all within yards of a large children’s play area, toilet facilities, fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour. The perfect Northumbrian day out for all the family!

The Dave Stephens Centre
Situated on Blyth Beach, the Dave Stephens Centre has a room with stunning views of the beach and sea through the full length windows. A perfect venue for meetings and training courses – especially with the fish and chip shop  on the doorstep!

BVAL’s  Make-a-Move Leisure Inclusion Team organise and deliver a range of activities for ALL age groups and abilities. Activities and events take place in leisure centres, parks, community centres, schools and beaches. Watch out for the kids activities brochure which is produced every school holiday and is stuffed full of activities and events for all the family – many FREE of charge. BVAL Arts Development
BVAL’s arts team are involved with many projects in Northumberland. Tall ship festivals, live music, art exhibitions and workshops are just some of the things they help organise. Check out the holiday brochure on the BVAL website too, as there’s usually plenty of arty clarty activities for the kids to do!
